Skeenah Campground and Mill
A Historic Mill
Our campground was built on the site of a Historic Mill and farmhouse from 1838. It served the community as a grist and lumber mill. It stands today showing its age, but still has a working water wheel and scenic waterfall flowing next to it. The Mill has been featured in several books and guides.
Skeenah Campground & Mill is Family Owned & Operated
Owners live on site and take pride in keeping the property in great shape and going above and beyond. The owners were once frequent campers of Skeenah and aim to help create equally memorable experiences for their guests.
Large Groups are welcome! Many that have stayed with us include: Boy scouts, Church groups, Jeep clubs, Off road vehicles, Kayak groups, hikers and many more. Ask us about a group rate.
Surrounding area is endless outdoor playground
We are a few miles from the Toccoa River launch site. Areas for tubing, kayaking and canoeing are abundant. Trout fishing is not only available right in the campground from our creek, but Rock Creek a few miles away is famous for some of the best trout fishing in Georgia.
The waterfalls are everywhere! we can give you the inside tips on those close by and easy access for all ages. Don’t forget a very unique activity one mile from us: the Toccoa Swinging Bridge.
