Where History, Hospitality and Camping Come Together

Skeenah Creek Campground & Mill is a family-owned campground in the North Georgia Mountains, offering a peaceful, creekside camping experience rooted in history and hospitality. Located in Suches, Georgia, the campground is centered around a restored 1800s working mill and the natural beauty of Skeenah Creek.

Long before becoming owners, Mark and Terry were longtime campers here, drawn back year after year by the quiet setting and timeless character of the property. Along with Brian, Terry’s brother, they purchased the campground in 2022 with a shared vision to preserve what made Skeenah special while thoughtfully improving it to welcome RV, tent, and modern campers of all kinds.

Through countless hours of hands-on work, they have restored and enhanced the grounds with care — maintaining a rustic, welcoming atmosphere while elevating comfort and functionality. Every site and gathering space reflects their commitment to honoring the land, the mill, and the camping experience.

Hospitality is at the heart of Skeenah. Mark, Terry, and Brian take pride in creating a campground where guests feel welcome, unrushed, and at home — a quiet mountain escape meant for slowing down, reconnecting, and returning to year after year.
